Sara Wan Trailhead at Corral Canyon Park
Scenic Malibu Coastal Views
In November 2018 as the devastating Woolsey Fire made its way to PCH, areas of the Sara Wan Trailhead at Corral Canyon Park fell in its path. Afterwards Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority crews worked hard to clear & repair the trailhead to reopen it for visitors.
Following the fire MRCA hired AIR to capture drone footage of nature's regrowth & the Springtime beauty of their parks that were heroically protected by firefighters. With footage shot in April 2019, this film highlights the park's post fire recovery and resilience.
The trailhead is named in honor of Sara Wan, in recognition of her work dedicated to the protection of the California coast and public access to it. Today the trailhead provides access to Corral Canyon Park that links to Cameron Nature Preserve as well as paid parking, picnic areas, restrooms, sitting areas, educational info & seasonal access to Dan Blocker State Beach. Accessible via a MTA bus stop.
Note: Any and all drone activity in any MRCA park requires prior permit approval.
