MRCA/SMMC Parks Series
Escondido Canyon Park
Tragically Escondido Canyon Park fell into the path of the devastating Nov 2018 Woolsey Fire burning much of its vegetation & requiring its closure. Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority crews worked hard to clear & repair the park's trail to reopen it for visitors. Following the devastating Woolsey Fire MRCA hired AIR to capture drone footage of nature's regrowth and the lush 2019’s Springtime beauty of their parks.
With footage shot in April 2019, this film celebrates the park's post fire recovery and rejuvenation while featuring Santa Monica Mountains’ tallest waterfall (150 ft). Escondido Falls may be inactive due to seasonal weather conditions.
Note: Any and all drone activity in any MRCA park requires prior permit approval.
